Former Prime Minister of RA Hrant Bagratyan writes on his Facebook page:
"Every day we wake up and read Pashinyan's next absurd decisions. This time, he decided to close the loans up to 1 million... at the expense of the budget.
Listen, the budget belongs to all of us, the public. Who gave you the right to take a special social class (up to 1 million drams is mostly the class of people close to the government) and spend public funds on their well-being?
This is not an economic decision, this is a way of bribing "our people" (that is, those with CP inclinations). This is pre-election bribery with all its consequences.
According to the Central Bank, more than 95% of loans are returned.
What else is needed to make them more than 100% returnable? Isn't it a little thing when the banks in this country are already extremely profitable, they don't let anything else grow apart from them like a cancer?
So what? Are we dealing with another budgetary cross-subsidy to the banks? What kind of logic is this?
You have money in the budget: strengthen the security and defense of the country, increase pensions and state salaries, finance education and healthcare.
What loan subsidy, what mortgage at the expense of the budget, what cumulative pension for 40 years?
