Commenting on the RA Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan's visit to the United States, international expert Suren Sargsyan writes on his Facebook page:
"Finally, any Minister of Defense of Armenia in 2018 then accepted by the head of the Pentagon It doesn't matter that the accepting secretary of defense will retire in about 40 days.
It is not important that the Pentagon will undergo fundamental changes with the arrival of Trump. It is also not important that the representatives of the outgoing administrations have farewell meetings with various partners and in such cases do not make significant agreements.
The agenda that is being talked about is important. It revolves around American aid. Armenia could not offer any other significant cooperative idea to its American partners in post-revolutionary Armenia.
And the agenda is as follows.
"Increasing the level of interoperability with the US armed forces: military education, combat training, exercises in the framework of preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions, development of professional sergeant and instructional institutes, creation of educational capabilities of the RA armed forces."
