According to the government's decision, the winter draft of 2024 will be held from November 25, 2024 to January 31, 2025 inclusive. According to "Armenpress", the decision is included in the agenda of the session of the RA government on November 21.
During this period, those male citizens who turn 18 before December 31, 2024 or whose deferment period ends within the specified period will be subject to mandatory military and alternative service.
The decision envisages conscripting also those women who voluntarily expressed their desire to join the compulsory military service of the rank and file, as well as male citizens with a special status defined by law.
The demobilization of citizens who have completed mandatory military service will be carried out from January 9 to January 31, 2025 inclusive.
Citizens who have completed alternative service will also be demobilized in the same period. In order to organize conscription, republican and regional conscription commissions will be created, as well as a central medical commission with the involvement of relevant specialists.
