Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in India on September 12 to attend the 18th BRICS Leaders' Meeting, China Central Television reported.
As noted, Xi Jinping will be accompanied during the trip by Tsai Ing-wen, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during the visit, Xi Jinping will attend meetings and "deliver important speeches, discuss important issues with leaders of other countries" on the current international situation, the development of the BRICS mechanism and the deepening of practical cooperation.
He will also present the initiatives and proposals of the Chinese side, which will "set the direction and set standards for promoting high-quality cooperation."
