Recently, videos have been actively circulating on social networks, in which attempts are being made to present that former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and his associates have allegedly exerted pressure on businessman Harutyun Knaryan.
According to our information, Harutyun Knaryan, who positioned himself and advertised himself as a major player with a new monopoly in the sugar market, has always received direct support from Hovik Abrahamyan throughout his business activities. The former Prime Minister has mediated with various businessmen, banks, and partners to provide him with the necessary funds to develop his business. However, later the real picture emerged. Harutyun Knaryan has accumulated large debts to all his partners. Unable to service these huge financial obligations, he has chosen the path of blackmail, discrediting, and spreading misinformation. Now he is trying to exploit Hovik Abrahamyan’s name in the history of his accumulated debts.
"Pastin" was unable to contact Hovik Abrahamyan, but according to our information, his legal team has already filed a lawsuit against the source spreading disinformation. Also, according to our information, the legal team is preparing to bring all media outlets, pages, and platforms that spread disinformation with similar defamatory content to legal action.
As for Knaryan’s real financial obligations, according to the relevant documents, he has accumulated huge debts to various companies and banks. In particular, the businessman owes 35 million drams to “Kumairi Group”, 225 million drams to “Swissbank”, and 250 million drams to “Unibank”. In addition, the debt to “Argobrut” company amounts to 14.3 million Russian rubles. The list of the businessman’s debts does not end there: he owes 12,495,000 Russian rubles to “CITY” LLC for the supply of oil, 8,878,320 Russian rubles to “Baghramyan” LLC for the supply of wheat, and 9,613,782 Russian rubles to “ALEX AND HOLDING” LLC for the supply of sugar.
In fact, the total and geography of his debts to all companies and banks are simply enormous: we are talking about dozens of organizations and partners, which clearly proves that “putting one’s own problems into the pocket” of one person is a cheap manipulation and a failed attempt to avoid accumulated debts. Thus, the bubble of the “monopoly abolitionist” praised by various propaganda machines has once again burst, and it became clear that we are dealing with one of the ordinary domestic “swindlers” who got rich by abusing the trust of various people.
