The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has published necessary information on the L-1A, L-1B, and L-2 visas.
"The L-1A visa is intended for managers and executives who are relocating to a U.S.-based office.
Requirements:
• One year of work experience abroad, with continuous employment in the past three years with a qualifying parent, subsidiary, affiliate, or branch of a company.
• Qualifying position: a managerial or executive position both abroad and in the U.S.
• Employer sponsorship: individual petition or approved blanket L petition.
The L-1B visa is intended for workers with specialized knowledge who are relocating to a U.S.-based office.
Requirements:
• One year of work experience abroad, with continuous employment within the past three years with a qualifying parent, subsidiary, affiliate, or branch of a company.
• Qualifying position: A position requiring specialized knowledge, either abroad or in the United States.
• Employer sponsorship: Individual petition or approved Blanket L Petition. Blanket L Petition may only be filed for qualified workers with specialized knowledge.
The L-2 visa is intended for spouses or unmarried children under the age of 21 of L-1 visa applicants.
• This visa type is for accompanying family members and is not considered an independent work visa.
“L-2 visa applicants automatically receive the right to work under the L-2S status indicated on their I-94 form,” the statement said.
