In the Russian city of Perm, the leader of the Azerbaijani community, Ruslan Mamedov, was arrested as part of the criminal case regarding bribery. This is reported by the Azerbaijani Meydan TV.
According to the publication, the FSB of Russia banned Mamedov from entering the country for 50 years, until June 2076. It is noted that he was already deported from Russia in 2018, but later changed his name and returned to the country. Recently, similar restrictions have been applied by Russia to other representatives of the Azerbaijani community.
Bakhtiyar Hasanov, the president of the Union of Azerbaijanis in Moscow, was deported from Russia, and Arshad Khankishiev, the head of the community of Chelyabinsk region, Elshan Ibrahimov, the head of the Moscow region union, and athlete Javid Rzaev were deprived of their Russian citizenship.
