The house arrest applied to the former governor of Kotayk, the former mayor of Abovyan, Karapet Guloyan, was abolished, bail was applied. This is reported by the Department of Justice.
The decision was made on July 9.
Let's remind that Guloyan was placed under house arrest in June with a bail of 20 million drams. Guloyan is the husband of Roza Tsarukyan, the daughter of the leader of the "Prosperous Armenia" party, Gagik Tsarukyan. A public criminal prosecution was initiated against him for damaging the property under restraint.
According to the accusation, Karapet Guloyan was informed that the anti-corruption court of RA applied an injunction against taking action related to property management, but he damaged the external and internal walls of the residential house, as well as the basement walls, dismantled the facing tiles, removed doors, windows, etc.
