Europa Press reports that a young man died while trying to fly from Morocco to Spain by paragliding. According to the agency, the incident took place on Friday morning.
National Guard officers found the young man of African descent after surveillance systems detected an attempt to cross the Spanish border. The man was trying to paraglide over the border near Bentsu Bay, located in the northern Spanish enclave of Ceuta.
"The police have confirmed that he had a respiratory and circulatory arrest," the agency says. Crews were unable to revive the man, according to Europa Press. The migrant's body has been sent for an autopsy. Authorities are investigating the incident.
