The former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain, Valery Zaluzhny, stated that Ukraine will never join NATO.
According to him, the alliance is not ready to accept the Ukrainian army, taking into account its current level of development.
"I know NATO very well. For about 12 years, I have been personally involved in ensuring that we adopt NATO standards, and every year I heard stories that "ah-ah, we will join NATO." Unfortunately, we will never enter there," Zaluzhni said.
He noted that new defense unions could be formed instead, one of which could be the European Security Military Alliance.
