In recent days, employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia deported 96 foreigners, including Russian citizens. This was reported by the press service of the department.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, citizens of Azerbaijan, Albania, Belarus, Egypt, Jordan, India, Iraq, China, Cuba, Kuwait, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Madagascar, Morocco, Nigeria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries were deported from Georgia.
Deported persons were forbidden to enter Georgia.
Recently, Georgia has been actively fighting against illegal migrants. The parliament has tightened the migration legislation, simplified the deportation procedures. Every month, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reports on the deportation of dozens of foreign citizens.
