Israeli authorities are concerned that the US leadership does not have a clear strategy to resolve the conflict with Iran or to resume large-scale military operations, the Associated Press (AP) agency reported, citing Israeli sources.
According to the agency, the leadership of the Jewish state fears that US President Donald Trump will continue "this war with Iran to a boiling point" without any prospect of clear results before the November 3, 2026 midterm elections.
Furthermore, Israel is concerned about US willingness to limit military action against Iran due to rising oil prices and the depletion of US missile stockpiles. However, during a meeting with Trump on July 28, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured the American leader that the Jewish state will follow the US foreign policy on the Iranian issue and support Washington's decisions, according to AP sources.
