US President Donald Trump has denied reports that the lack of ammunition, including anti-aircraft missiles, is one of the reasons for not resuming full-scale military operations against Iran. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
"We have much more ammunition than any country in the world, and much more than we need," the president told the publication, commenting on this information. On July 25, The New York Times, citing sources, reported that the US president decided to delay the intensification of military operations against Iran to avoid further depletion of the ammunition arsenal intended for US Patriot anti-missile missiles and other air defense systems in the Middle East.
In a July 24 meeting, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Cain warned that the command could resume large-scale military operations against Iran, but that would lead to dangerously low levels of anti-missile stockpiles.
