"Rosselkhoznadzor" has partially lifted the temporary restriction on the import of hatching eggs from the USA, based on the improvement of the bird flu situation in the United States.
"From July 24, 2026, the temporary restrictions on the import of hatching eggs from 10 economic entities of the US state of West Virginia to the Russian Federation will be removed," the message of "Rosselkhoznadzor" states.
Despite the lifting of import restrictions, laboratory surveillance will continue, with each imported batch being sampled for the presence of the avian influenza virus genome.
It should be noted that "Rosselkhoznadzor" started applying the temporary restrictions on the import of eggs and poultry from the USA to Russia from the end of July 2024.
