Great Britain is engaged in the creation of affordable long-range weapons that could potentially be used in Ukraine and avoid dependence on American technology and supplies.
The Bloomberg newspaper, referring to officials of the defense department, reports that Great Britain is developing cheap long-range weapons. It could theoretically be used in Ukraine, and it would not be dependent on US supplies and technology.
According to the data provided, in the coming months, it is planned to test three British-made systems from the MBDA, MGI Engineering and Rotron Aerospace companies in the territories of Great Britain and Ukraine. After the end of those tests, the possibility of bringing them to the zone of military operations within a year is being discussed.
It was emphasized that the main feature of these new projects is the reduction of dependence on American data and components, which aims to increase the level of autonomy of British defense technologies.
