NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte does not think that Ukraine should refrain from strikes against Russian territory for peace negotiations.
He made this statement in response to the question regarding the position of the Alliance: whether it wants Ukraine to limit its attacks to facilitate negotiations, or to continue to strike deep into Russia, reports Европейская правда. According to Rutte, Ukraine is carrying out these strikes because it "collided with Russia" on February 24, 2022.
The Secretary General claims that the conflict was "unprovoked" and "absolutely reckless" and therefore Kiev "has the right to defend itself". Rutte believes that it is the task of Ukraine's allies to ensure that the country receives everything it needs to maintain its position and defend itself.
