The Pentagon is concerned about the increase in Israeli spying on the United States, NBC reported, citing two current and one former American officials.
"The Pentagon is increasingly concerned about Israel's increased spying on the United States and recently raised the counterintelligence threat level of America's main ally in the Middle East to the highest level," the report said. According to the sources of the TV channel, the Pentagon fears that Israel is "making a special effort" to spy on high-ranking American officials in order to obtain information about the internal discussions and decisions of the Trump administration regarding conflicts in the Middle East.
At the same time, the representative of the Israeli embassy in Washington denied the information about the alleged espionage in a comment given to the TV channel.
