Turkey is preparing to adopt a bill on "foreign agents".

The Turkish government is preparing to submit a draft law on "foreign agents" to the parliament for ratification, writes Ermenihaber.

According to the published written statement, the law will be aimed "against those working for other countries or foreign organizations that threaten Turkey's national security." According to the bill, up to 7 years of imprisonment is provided for this act.

A similar law was also adopted in Georgia, which caused a serious political crisis in that country. The Parliament of Georgia adopted the bill "On transparency of foreign influence" in the first reading, which, according to the opposition, repeats the Russian legislation "on foreign agents".
