The Israeli special forces unit penetrated the territory of Lebanon and captured one of the commanders of the "Quwwat al-Fajr" formation, which is the armed wing of the Sunni "Al-Jamaa al-Islamia" organization. This was stated in the statement of the Islamist group, which was shared on the X social platform.
The statement mentions that the operation was carried out between Sunday and Monday night in the El-Khabbariya settlement of the border region of Hasbayya.
"The occupying forces abducted our military representative Atwi Atwi from his home and took him to the territory of Israel," the statement said.
The Sunni organization, which acted as an ally of the Shiite Hezbollah movement during the 2024 conflict, condemned the actions of the Israeli military and called on the Lebanese government to achieve the release of all captured Lebanese citizens.
