ARF Bureau made a statement.
"As a result of the judicial farce that lasted more than a year, today the military court of Baku published the "sentences" in the case of fabricated charges against the former military and political leaders of Artsakh and other Armenian prisoners.
With closed-door, fake "trial" pre-determined verdicts, Azerbaijan has repeatedly confirmed that, contrary to the talk about peace and formal steps, with the complicity of the RA authorities, it continues its anti-Armenian policy and behavior.
It was obvious from the beginning that the purpose of this "trial" in Baku is to target and discredit the Republics of Artsakh and Armenia, the struggle for self-determination of Artsakh Armenians and the leaders of that struggle.
It is noteworthy that Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev received the Peace Prize in Abu Dhabi on the eve of the "judgments" against Armenia and Armenians. This is what the "peace process" is like and what it is about.
The captured Armenians convicted by the Baku military court are actually hostages in the hands of Azerbaijan. Talking about establishing peace between Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan without the immediate and unconditional release of those hostages is a mockery, regardless of who the authors of that talk are.
We will continue our struggle to secure the release of all Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan. We call on the forces that support real peace in our region, in general, all international organizations working for human rights, democracy and justice, to pursue and support the release of Armenian prisoners.
We can talk about real peace between Artsakh, Armenia and Azerbaijan only by ensuring all the individual and collective rights of the people of Artsakh, including the return of the hostages to their homeland.
It presupposes a really strong native state in all respects and a national unity around national goals. The Armenian Revolutionary Federation is committed and will continue the organized and purposeful struggle towards that goal."
