"Fact" daily writes:
The authorities of the Day of Armenia, led by Nikol Pashinyan, will use possible and impossible, including illegal means in the coming months in order to have more or less normal results in the elections, because they cannot retain power in any legal and fair way. According to our information, before the parliamentary elections, they have set themselves the task of either "making it their own" or starting another wave of repression against them to work for the authorities.
Already several community heads, who were known for their oppositional views, no longer only make anti-government statements, but some of them, according to our information, intend to work for KP in the parliamentary elections.
According to behind-the-scenes conversations, the situation in Syunik is quite clear in that respect, where the community heads of Goris and Kapan will work for the current authorities. According to our sources, the situation is identical in Aparan, where the community leader Karen Yeghiazaryan has completely sided with the current authorities and even supports Pashinyan's anti-church policy.
Moreover, Yeghiazaryan has promised the current authorities, and in particular the governor, to open 2-3 headquarters with his own funds and support the CP campaign in Aparan and neighboring villages. It is said in Aparan that the head of the community also disowned Catholicos Garegin II, whose support he enjoyed for a long time. The mayor personally met several priests and urged them to support Pashinyan's anti-church campaign.
