58% of Austrians oppose the allocation of additional 3 million euros to Ukraine

58% of Austrians oppose the decision announced by the country's government to provide another 3 million euros in financial support to Ukraine, while only 30% of respondents support the move. This is evidenced by the results of an online survey conducted for Heute newspaper, in which 800 people participated.

According to the survey, the highest opposition to the increase in financial aid to Kyiv is seen among the supporters of the "Party for Freedom of Austria" (FPA). 86% of them are against that initiative.

Even among the voters of the "Austrian People's Party" (APP), to which the country's Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker belongs, as well as among the supporters of the "NEOS" party, whose leader, Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, actively advocates support for Ukraine, such steps were supported by a minority of voters, 42% and 44%, respectively.

The main supporters of the transfer of funds to Kyiv are the voters of the "Greens" party: 67%. Among the electorate of the Social Democratic Party of Austria, this position is shared by a little more than half of the respondents, 51%.

Austrian Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker wrote on the social platform X on January 27, based on the results of his phone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky, that Vienna will allocate an additional 3 million euros to Kyiv.
