Olena Hetmanchuk, Ukraine's ambassador to NATO, stated that Kiev's Euro-Atlantic direction is irreversible, despite the opposition of a number of countries to the country's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance. RBC-Ukraine quotes his words.

"The irreversibility of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic direction is fixed by the Constitution of Ukraine. The President of Ukraine clarified that the constitutional changes related to NATO are not discussed. Therefore, we cannot talk about a change of direction or, let's say, that NATO membership has ceased to be our ultimate goal in terms of interaction with the Alliance," Hetmanchuk stated.
