I will continue to write articles of a political nature and deliver them to the media, house arrest cannot be more severe than that of the Criminal Investigation Department. Ashotyan

After making the house arrest decision, we asked you whether I would have the opportunity to publish articles in public media or not, whether I would be able to publicly answer citizens' political questions or not, because there was a format of five questions "with Ashotyan" per week, and whether there was an opportunity I will have to answer the journalists' blitz questions after the meeting hall until I get to the car.

Armen Ashotyan, the RPA vice-chairman, said this during the regular court session, referring to the Probation Service's accusations that he violated the law by communicating with the media and posting on the Facebook social network.

Ashotyan mentioned that the opportunities he listed were during his detention in Nubarashen Correctional Facility and the view expressed by the judge during the session was that house arrest cannot imply stricter restrictions than those in the correctional facility.

"Therefore, I will continue to write articles of a political nature and pass them to the media through my lawyers. I did not approach question 5, I thought it could be seen as a means of communication before receiving a decision from you, because it is a question that I am answering and I hoped that you would answer it. it would have been reflected in writing in the decision, but we don't find it," he said.

Regarding the Facebook social network, Ashotyan said that he has a personal account, "Armen Ashotyan", which was identified by Facebook with a blue sign, where no publication was made from the day of his arrest until today.

"The other one is Armen Ashotyan's Facebook page, not the account, which has been working all the time. In addition to me, two other people have access to that page, to whom I gave access before I was detained. When I was detained and in Nubarashen Prison, there were still posts on that page made by people I gave access to at the time and now and they continue.

"Unfortunately, I personally do not make publications and do not violate the law," he said. We should remind, according to the Investigative Committee, the former Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan is accused of abuse of official position and money laundering, which caused serious consequences.
