The Trump administration has imposed sanctions on three cousins of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and six companies, Axios reports, citing its sources.

"The new sanctions to be announced by Treasury Secretary Scott Besant are the latest step in President Trump's pressure campaign against Maduro, whom the administration accuses of running a terrorist organization involved in drug trafficking," the article said.

According to the portal, the USA has imposed sanctions on six companies operating oil tankers. A Panamanian businessman, believed to be one of Maduro's close associates, has also been sanctioned.
