A number of members of the ruling "Civil Agreement" faction of the National Assembly, with the participation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, were preparing to raise the issue of removing Andranik Kocharyan from the position of the chairman of the Defense Commission.
"Freedom"according to the source, many of the faction, including key members, are in favor of dismissing Kocharyan, but this issue still needs to be discussed with Pashinyan. Kocharyan is also aware of the intention of his teammates. At the moment, the justifications for removing him are not yet clearly formulated, it is not yet clear whether the KP members will succeed in removing their teammate or not.
"Azatutyun" reported that the decision, in fact, depends on the Prime Minister. The meeting of the department scheduled for yesterday at 19:00 did not take place due to the 2025 budget discussions in the National Assembly. It is not yet clear when the session will take place.
