Saakashvili called for mass protests

Mikheil Saakashvili, the imprisoned former president of Georgia, called for mass protests after the parliamentary elections in Georgia.

"Of course, no one should enter the parliament. Now is not the time to be upset about how we were deceived. Now is the time for big protests that will show the world that we are fighting for freedom and that we are a people that does not tolerate injustice. There is very little time," said the statement published on Saakashvili's Facebook page.

Earlier, the opposition announced that the elections were rigged, and it does not recognize the CEC results, according to which "Georgian Dream" won. The joint plan of further actions has not yet been announced.

President Salome Zurabishvili is expected to make a statement in the coming hours. He supported the opposition in the elections.
