The number of typhoon victims in the Philippines has reached 140.

The number of victims of typhoon "Kalmaeg" in the Philippines has reached at least 140, and another 127 people are still missing, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

Typhoon Kalmeg hit the central Philippines on Tuesday. Authorities report that approximately 706,000 people were affected by the storm, of which 348,000 were moved to evacuation centers.

A state of emergency has also been declared in 53 localities, which allows local authorities to use emergency funds and freeze the prices of essential goods.
