The death toll from the typhoon in the Philippines has exceeded 90

The death toll from typhoon "Kalmaeg" in the Philippines has exceeded 90, reports Agence France-Presse (AFP), referring to Ron Ramos, the spokesman for the province of Cebu.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Philippine Civil Defense Agency reported 66 deaths and 26 missing. According to the agency, most of the victims were found in Cebu, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas and Negros Island.

The number of victims of typhoon "Kalmaeg" in the Philippines exceeded 90 on Wednesday. Cebu provincial spokesman Ron Ramos told AFP that 35 bodies had been recovered from flood zones in Cebu's Liloan municipality.

"This brings the death toll of the typhoon in Cebu to 76. "Earlier today, Philippine Civil Defense Agency spokesperson Rafaelito Alejandro confirmed the news of at least 17 deaths in other provinces," the agency reported.
