"According to the exclusive information of "Zhoghovurd" daily, within the framework of the criminal case of the murder of Valodya Grigoryan, the Investigative Committee has again summoned Davit Akhtoyan, the brother of the former village head of Merdzavan, member of the CP, Davit Akhtoyan, a member of the Parakar Council of Elders.
"Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper tried to find out the information from Davit Akhtoyan, in response to which the latter confirmed that he was again invited and questioned.
He summarized by noting that a preliminary investigation is underway, the investigation will clarify everything, and he cannot say anything else. Let's remember that on the night of September 23-24, two people were brutally killed: Valodya Grigoryan, head of the enlarged Parakar community, and criminal police officer Karen Abrahamyan. This murder has deep roots. ArmLur.am has repeatedly referred to the contradictions between the Akhtoyans and the Grigoryans, which have turned into clashes for years, especially during the election processes.
Over time, their enmity only deepened, reaching its peak. Let's remember that Mher Akhtoyan is the former village head of Merdzavan (KP), and his brother, Davit Akhtoyan, is a member of the Council of Elders of the "Civil Agreement". The incident recorded under the window of Mher Akhtoyan's house on February 5 of this year was also related to the same tension.
Akhtoyan had followed the course of events with cameras, even filming what was happening, how his and Grigoryan's supporters were beating each other. As a result of that incident, 29-year-old Grigor Ohanyan, the son of Mher Akhtoyan's relative, was killed, and 14 people appeared in the accused's chair at once. It should be noted that Mher Akhtoyan left Armenia before the murder of Valodya Grigoryan.
Moreover, Gevorg Harutyunyan, accused in the murder case of Valodya Grigoryan, personally took him to the airport and saw him off. all this deepens the suspicions. Although rumors are actively circulating in Merdzavan that Mher Aktoyan, a member of the CP, could have been the alleged mastermind of Valodya Grigoryan's murder, because he is the one who constantly "keeps" the topic of revenge in his circle.
However, the law enforcement officers are still silent on this issue, because Mher Akhtoyan is not in Armenia. To summarize, it should be emphasized that the clashes are, in fact, between two politicized groups. Mher Akhtoyan represents the "Civil Contract" party, and Valodya Grigoryan was nominated by the "Land of Living" and "Haghtanak" parties, representing the opposition field. This gives the version of the vendetta an obvious political resonance and significance.
Let's add that almost 1.5 months have passed since the murder, but at the urging of the law enforcement officers, they left Merdzavan and to this day, the relatives of the accused in the case and the Akhtoyans do not live in the community, and Merdzavan remains under the control of the law enforcement officers to prevent a possible vendetta."
