I am appealing to you from the prison cell of "Nubarashen" prison, where I am being held as a result of undisguised political persecution.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank you for your support, your warmth, your faith and the attention you have shown to me.
For years, I and my political team, enjoying the trust of the people of Masis and the residents of the extended community of Masis, have made efforts to open a new page in the history of our community and have proven our respect and devotion to you and to our small homeland.
The rampant political repressions in our country have not escaped not only me, but also dozens and hundreds of our other compatriots. However, the brutal pressures and flagrant illegalities of the current regime are not able to break us and nullify our desire and dream to have a better, stronger and more dignified homeland.
The current regime, using the repressive tools of the state system, has not digested our honor and patriotism while making efforts to seize everything in the country. I, as the acting head of the Masis enlarged community, well aware of my assumed responsibility towards you, emphasizing my commitment to you, Masis and my team, sticking to the promises I made during the pre-election period, in order to protect the position of the head of the community from the false legal and administrative intrigues of the authorities, today I applied to terminate my powers as a member of the council.
However, I will continue to keep your concerns and the future of my community at the center of my care and, to the best of my ability, efforts. The political team, to whom you once again entrusted the management of the community with your vote, will continue to act within the framework of our pre-election promises, implementing many programs aimed at improving your life. I am strong with you, my dear Masis, and I cannot allow you to weaken because of my imprisonment, so that the current regime seizes power in our community under that pretext.
I am leaving the council, but I am not leaving Masis. Please, together with the community authorities, continue to create, work, live and remain dignified Armenians for the sake of our community and the future of our country."
