The representatives of Afghanistan and Pakistan will hold a new meeting in Istanbul on November 6

Afghanistan and Pakistan agreed to continue the negotiations on the settlement of the border situation and hold a new meeting on November 6 in Istanbul. This is stated in the joint statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey after the negotiations held with the mediation of Turkey and Qatar.

"Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey and Qatar held meetings in Istanbul on October 25-30 to strengthen the ceasefire agreement signed between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Doha on October 18-19, 2025, brokered by Turkey and Qatar.

"All sides have agreed to continue the ceasefire. Further terms of implementation will be discussed and decided at a meeting to be held in Istanbul on November 6," the statement said. It noted that all parties agreed to establish a monitoring and verification mechanism to ensure the maintenance of peace and sanctions against violators.

"As mediators, Turkey and Qatar express gratitude for the active contribution of both sides and are ready to continue cooperation with both sides to ensure lasting peace and stability," the document states.
