According to DigitalTrends, Samsung is developing a notification management feature for its One UI 8.5 skin that will automatically highlight the most important notifications, referring to data found in the leaked test firmware.
A tool called "Notification Priority" will automatically elevate high-priority notifications to the top of the notification panel. Users will be able to manually define which events from specific apps are considered important.
This feature is expected to be part of the official release of One UI 8.5, which will be introduced with the Galaxy S26 series smartphones early next year.
Analysis and processing of notifications will be performed on the device; the company will not have access to user data, and it will not be transferred to Samsung servers for processing.
The presentation of flagship smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series and One UI 8.5 skin is expected in January-February 2026.
