US servicemen may go without pay

US servicemen may face delays in salary payments until November 15 if the current government shutdown continues, US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant said, RIA Novosti reports.

"I think we will be able to pay them at the beginning of November, but until November 15 our soldiers and servicemen who are ready to risk their lives will not be able to receive their salaries," said Besant.

On October 26, Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna suggested that the US government shutdown could last until the end of November.
