US President Donald Trump intends to create a fund to support Ukraine, which will be financed by the revenues from the proposed 500% tariffs on Chinese goods, reports the British newspaper The Telegraph, citing its sources.
As the publication reminds, US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant was instructed to present a plan to European allies before Vladimir Zelensky's visit to Washington on October 17, which envisages the imposition of 500% tariffs on goods supplied from China under the pretext of China's purchase of Russian oil.
At the same time, the American administration conditioned the introduction of such duties on the willingness of European countries to join these measures.
Trump has previously stated that Washington is in the midst of a trade war with Beijing, referring to his intention to raise tariffs against China by 100% on November 1.
