The Kremlin is optimistic about the meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We are currently discussing the state visit to Putin Tajikistan. We have a very spacious agenda. Separately, of course, there is talk of Russian-Azerbaijani relations, "he said.

According to Peskov, the telephone conversation between Putin and Ali was "good, positive and constructive". During this conversation, the Presidents agreed on the upcoming meeting, clarified the press secretary.
