The EU plans to spend 2.5 trillion euros on weapons and drones by 2030

The European Union (EU) plans to spend 2.5 trillion euros on weapons, including drones and countermeasures. This was announced by the European Commissioner for Defense.

Andrius Cubilius, addressing the hearings on incidents related to unknown drones in the European Heaven in Strasbourg.

"We have the ability to spend 2.5 trillion euros for different defense needs by 2030," Cubilius said. He expressed hope that this amount will include part of the frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

On October 1, the EU Countries were unable to agree on the draft confiscation scheme proposed by the European Commission. Belgium opposed the program, fearing Russia's response to such a step.
