"National Post". Karni and Trump have instructed to quickly complete commercial agreements

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Karni and US President Donald Trump has instructed their assistants to quickly sign all the necessary trade agreements between the two countries, citing an anonymous member of the Canadian delegation, which took part in the talks in Washington on October 7.

According to him, Trump and Karni instructed their negotiating teams to "quickly sign the necessary trade agreements." In particular, the Minister of Interdepartmental Relations of Canada and the Responsible Trade Officer Dominique LeBlank will stay in Washington for several days after Karnie's departure.

After the negotiations, Trump did not have a clear answer to how many times the acute trade disputes between Washington and Ottawa could have reached a new agreement on this issue and reduce the American customs duties on imports.

After Ottawa and Washington failed to reach a commercial agreement by August 1, Trump signed a copy of the customs duties not included in the Canada-Mexican-US Free Trade Agreement to 35%.
