The CIS leaders will discuss regional security issues at the summit in Dushanbe

The leaders of the CIS countries will discuss regional and global security issues at the summit in Dushanbe on October 10, the press service of the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

According to the statement, the leaders of the Cooperation Council will discuss "current issues on the international agenda, including regional and global security." The summit will take place at the Nation's Palace and chair the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

In addition, special attention will be paid to further deepening of political dialogue, strengthening trade and economic ties, as well as the expansion of cooperation in the humanitarian and cultural spheres within the framework of cooperation.

After the meeting, leaders will sign a number of documents, "which are aimed at further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation," the statement said.
