Former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has announced that he refuses the post of the MP of the Syriza-Advanced Alliance.
"After working as a deputy, party leader, opposition leader and prime minister, I decided to resign from my parliamentary position."
He explained his decision by the fact that the office of the deputy would not "bring nothing significant" to those who trust him.
JIPRAS criticized the Greek parliament, writing that it was "democratically deprived" and unable to play the role of citizens under the Constitution. However, the former prime minister stressed that although he resigns from the post of deputy does not refuse his political activities.
"I leave the safety of the upper benches of the parliament. I strive to return to uncertainty full of public life. Instead of managing from above, I strive to hear the society and his needs. I am released from the positions, commitments and devices, which can no longer present it, "said Cypras.
