Landslides have taken 35 people in the East. It is stated that three people were killed in lightning strikes in other parts of Nepal, and nine people were missing after the floods. Landslides have also taken at least seven people in the mountain Dutch region of West Bengal in East India. According to Hindusta Times, the rains prevented the entrance of villages, and many roads were closed due to landslides.
The authorities said that government helicopters were needed for medical evacuation.
The Nepalese government has warned of severe rains in the eastern and central parts of the country from October 4 to 6, while closing the main highways. On October 4, all domestic flights were stopped due to heavy rains and poor visibility, but the next day they resumed.
