On August 2, at 8:32 pm, the Crisis Management Center of the Shirak Regional Rescue Department received an alarm that an accident had taken place on the Ashotsk-Gyumri highway.

Two fire brigades of the firefighter detachments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs left for the scene.
