The film "Anora" by director Sean Baker with the participation of Armenian actors became the favorite in the fight for the "Oscar" award. A number of professional resources involved in award season forecasting see the film as a top Oscar contender for Best Picture.

The nominees for the 97th Academy Awards will be announced on January 17, and the actual ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theater on March 2.
