Times of Israel. The United States is discussing the issue of stopping the UN forces in Lebanon

The United States is discussing the issue of stopping the UN forces in Lebanon, Times of Israel reports, citing American sources. "Sources said that the United States has not yet made a decision on the future support for Unipil, but wants major reforms that can mean the termination of support," the publication writes.

The publication reminds that the UNIFIL's mandate is extended once a year with the UN Security Council resolution, and the United States can veto the next resolution to be submitted in August. According to Jerusalem Post, the United States has already decided to vote against the extension of the UNIFIL.

"Israel and the United States have agreed that Unipil must stop operations in the south of Lebanon," the newspaper writes.
