Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed his interest in peace with political and diplomatic means in Ukraine with Pope Levon XIV. This was announced by the Kremlin's official Telegram channel.

"Putin stressed that the final, fair and comprehensive solution of the crisis is necessary to eliminate its radical reasons," Kremlin said.

It is noted that the Russian leader also thanked the Pope for his willingness to promote the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.
