According to the specialist, it is necessary not only to maintain hygiene, but also limit the use of harmful foods for enamel. Among them are sweet drinks, sweets, fruits, lemon juice and vinegar.

"Acid and sugar can contribute to enamel demolition, that is, to increase its porosity. And porous enamel is less resistant to the influence of bacteria, "said the specialist.

According to the specialist, the sugar exacerbates the destructive effect of pathogenic bacteria in the mouth. It contributes to the occurrence of toothpaste that feeds bacteria.

"The more sugar there is on the surface of the teeth, the faster the bacteria and the more aggressive is their impact," said Kopetkayan.

To strengthen their teeth, the specialist advised to use fluoride containing pastes and do rinsing. He also urged to regularly include foods rich in calcium and phosphorus (for example, cottage cheese, fish and cheese).
