Istanbul's Acik Radyo radio station reported that it was closed by the authorities' decision. As reported by AFP, the journalists promised to find a way to continue the work. Not long after that, in May, the watchdog suspended the station's broadcasts for five days, accusing it of "inciting hatred."
In July, the authorities took away the license from Acik Radyo, but the radio station continued to work for several months.
