Hungary is against the energy program of Brussels

Hungary will not support the European Commission's program for refusing Russian energy supply, but will not be able to prevent its approval in the European Union if it is not accepted by the consensus, but by a majority of votes.

The statement came from Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban, speaking during the morning of Kossuth radio station.

"They can accept it with a qualified majority," said the Prime Minister, referring to Brussels's proposal, to stop supplies from Russia to gas, oil and nuclear fuel in the coming years.

Orban noted that this initiative of the European Commission is directed against Hungary, as it does not support EU membership in the EU.

The Prime Minister believes that the Brussels program will lead to increased energy prices.
