Tiktok will introduce 1 billion euros in Finland

Tiktok has confirmed that it plans to invest 1 billion euros in Finland to build his first data center in Europe, the company's spokesman told Reuters. This step is carried out within the framework of the Data Security Program in the Project Clover, which aims to properly manage the data of European users and respond to the growing concerns about privacy.

At the moment, Tiktok already has data centers in Norway, Ireland and the United States. The Norwegian Center began to operate this month. Tiktok, which has more than 175 million users in Europe, said it envisages the construction of new data centers in the coming years, and Scandinavian countries, especially Finland, are preferable due to low temperatures and carbon-detailed electricity. At the moment, more than 20 new data centers are planned in Finland, a total of 13 billion euros.
