The second military group of Kazakhstan's peacekeepers left for Golan Heights, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic reported on Thursday.
"The second national peacekeeping contingent was a business trip to the Golan Heights to serve the observers of the UN Prosecutor's Office," the department said in a statement.
Kazakh peacekeepers are reportedly tasks to take a ceasefire, patrol, checkpoints, accompanying UN personnel.
"All servicemen of peacekeeping contingent were drafted on a voluntary basis. Among them are two women. The choice was made on the basis of comprehensive training, taking into account the qualities of candidates, professional, and moral qualities, "said Valiyan Bayenov, head of the peacekeeping operations center of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Defense.
